A cookie is a small text file your browser stores on your device. Cookies help a site remember things between visits, like that you just logged in or what region the site should serve to you. This page explains the cookies dentadex.com uses today.
1. The short version
On the marketing site today we set only the cookies the site needs to work. We do not run third-party analytics on the marketing site. We do notrun any advertising pixels or trackers. If that changes — for example, if we add a privacy-friendly analytics tool like Plausible — this page updates first, and you’ll see a consent banner before any non-essential cookie is set.
The application at app.dentadex.com sets its own session cookies that are required for login. Those are covered by the privacy terms of your customer agreement, not this policy.
Because we set only strictly necessary cookies on this marketing site, no consent banner is required under any current US state privacy law. The CCPA definition of “sale” (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.140) does not reach essential first-party cookies. If we add analytics or marketing cookies, that fact will appear here first and a consent control will appear alongside it.
2. Categories of cookies
We group cookies into three categories so it’s clear what each one does.
- Strictly necessary— the site stops working without them. Examples: a CSRF token, a routing cookie. No opt-out, because turning them off breaks the site.
- Analytics— tell us which pages people visit, in aggregate. We don’t run any on the marketing site today.
- Marketing— track you across sites for advertising. We don’t run any. We will not add any without telling you on this page first.
3. The current cookie list
Below is every cookie dentadex.com sets as of the “Last updated” date above. If a cookie isn’t listed, we don’t set it.
| Name | Purpose | Expiry | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| dx_csrf | Anti-forgery token for the contact form. Without it, the form rejects every submission. | Session | Strictly necessary |
| dx_route | Routes you to the closest CloudFront edge so the site loads fast. | 30 days | Strictly necessary |
4. Embedded third-party tools
When you submit the contact form, the request goes to our own API at dentadex.com — not a third-party form vendor. We don’t embed any third-party widgets (no Calendly, no HubSpot, no Intercom, no Zendesk) on this marketing site today.
5. How to turn cookies off
You can clear or block cookies from your browser settings. Every modern browser supports this:
- Chrome:Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies and other site data
- Safari:Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data
- Firefox:Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data
- Edge:Settings › Cookies and site permissions › Cookies and site data
If you turn off our strictly necessary cookies, the contact form will stop working — submissions will be rejected as forgery. You can still reach us by email.
6. Your privacy choices
See our Privacy Policy for the rights you have over the personal information we hold about you (access, correction, deletion, portability). To use any of those rights, email privacy@dentadex.com.
7. Changes
If we add a new cookie or a new tool that sets cookies, we update this page first and bump the “Last updated” date. If we add anything non-essential, a consent banner will appear before the cookie is set.
